This blog was written after, literally, years of nagging by some friends who felt, rightly or wrongly – you decide! that my thoughts should be conveyed onto the printed form.

I am not very good at this ‘blogging’ technology. The idea is for the chapters or ‘lessons’ to be read in chronological order, like a book and not last post first. Just in case it all goes pear-shaped, here is a list of the ‘lessons’.
